Ok, first of all my car broke down!

Background: It is a 95 gsx 5 speed with 134,xxx miles, babied, basically rebuilt except fo rthe turbo...

I was driving home from work for about 10 minutes and hit a stop light. After it turned green I was driving away from it and as I shifted from second to third, while I was in neutral, there was a soft sound and the car died! I was driving about 30 mph and not racing/reving, just regular driving.

Now the car will turn on, all the belts are good, everything works, but the engine won't turn over. The starter works, but the engine wont start

Any help is much appreciated!

Well, something similar to this happened in my old 325e. I was driving and all of the sudden the engine pretty muched skipped and shut-down. After that I could crank it, the starter would hit, but the engine wouldn't turn over. That turned out to be my timing belt. It had broke. Double check that just in case.

ya, it got a new timing belt about 15,000 miles ago

does anyone think it could be the fuel pump? this happened to my mom's jeep...
