Hey guys I know some of you went out and bought the rs the day it came out. Well as you know the recirc kit from greddy is still not released to the public. I've been driving around venting to atmosphere. It sounds great, but lacks the driveablity that I had with my TYPE s.

Temporary Fix:
This is a possible fix to be used untill the recirc kit comes out. I went to LOWE'S and scored this part:

72222 1" EMT BOX COMP C $.78

Its found in the plumbing section there. Its a piece of pipe thats usually used for conduit. The thread pitch matches the bov pretty close and it leaves enough room to stick the stock dump tube back on.

Final impressions:

Its works, for now. Its not the prettiest thing in the world but It'l do. It will also take the extremely loud bov and makes it ridiculously quiet. You almost cannot not hear the thing going off.

Hope this helps at least one person out there.

Dan

I honestly dont see why everyone gets their panties in a bunch over venting an aftermarket valve on a Karman Vortex metering system. I noticed absolutely no discernable change from recircing to venting my Greddy Type-S back in the day. In theory it isnt good, but the real world detrimental effect isnt that great at all. I wouldnt hassle myself with creating a recirc fitting to be honest.

hassle? it's a freakin dollar

common sense, EVERY car is different. even if your car didn't run like crap vented, other cars do/will.

Detail- nice fix. i always wondered if you could just rig the old dump tube [ cut then reconnected with some sort of pipe ].

well thats you.. You in no way helped him with his problem or question so why even post? Dumping air out that is already metered will make it run rich, common sense..

Back on topic... Cant you use your Greddy type s circulation hose? Or does it not fit?

Thats not the problem.. the Type S just used the stock dump tube to recirc.. because you could use it with the type s.. was the part that connects to the dump tube.. is similar to the stock CBVs.. just a regular round discharge port. With the type rs its different, the port is a little larger and flared out.. so the stock dump tube can't connect to it.

Good fix tho.. I am sure this will help quite a few people out :thumb:
