:barf: im havin a problem wit my 97GSX .... i got a manual boost controller and i set it to as low as i can go .. and like first gear it reads like 17psi then all the other gears go over 20 according to my boost gauge ... and when it goes over 20psi ... my car just backfires and i dont go anywhere ... what do u thinik it is ... people say its my bov ... i have a greddy type-s and my boost controller was like 9 dollars on ebay ... its like a no name brand ... and i prob have boost spikes ... i honestly dont know .... someone please help me
 
First, make sure you have the MBC hooked up correctly(which it sounds like it isn't). I can't tell you which side of your MBC is inlet/outlet but the inlet side "should" be T'd from the BOV line and the outlet should to the wastegate.
Second, is your type S vented? If so get the recirculation kit. Nuff said on that.

i had that same problem too, my boost controller was hooked up wrong. ta :talon: lon

LOL dude that stands for Manual Boost Controller. My guess is you hooked it up wrong. Make sure that all the hoses are hooked up securely and correctly. :thumb:

i have a ? do u have to T into the bov line on the 50 trim. i was told no if thetas wrong hit me up with how its done right mine wont go any lower then 15 psi. but i can turn it up to 30 and hold it
