Remarking Cam Gears/Setting cam timing for 2.4 hybrid

I've done tons of searchs and this is the only thing holding me back. How do you remark your stock cam gears for the 2.4 hybrid? I spent alot of money on a head and don't feel like buying a new one. Would it be like adjustable cam gears and if so how do you do that?? Thanks

I have not personally done this swap, but I would advise you to put it all together how you typically put a 4g63 together and then hand turn the motor...if you can turn it, you don't have any interference problems...

You talking about the 2.3 stroker which uses the 2.0 block and stroker pistons. I'm talking about the 2.4 block w/ 2.0 head. Everythings the same except the timing belt is longer so you need to remark your gears. Someone has to know cause I know other people have done it.

Upon glancing at this site quickly, you can see that you need to buy the 2.4 cam gears.

You don't need to buy 2.4 cam gears. Look at the thread about g4cs and 4g64 cranks/blocks...i was reading it earlier and someone said all you got to do with stock gears is adjust the mark 1/2 turn in advance "I think"....just double check that thread but anyways, someone on this site seems to know his shit and his name is 2.4 turbo Hyped. Ask him about it if your still unsure b/c he has built quite a few hybrid motors.

Well unless you can magicly alter the cam pin to tooth orientation, remarking aint gona do squat.

Either redrill the cam pin on the 63 cam gears a half tooth off or go buy,for less than $40,a set of stock 64 gears. Its that simple.

I have a 64,I can tell you from experience. It aint worth saving $40 to try and redrill 63 gears.
