head gasket thickness?

Just wanted to know what are some pro/cons of running a thick HG or a thin one?
How would i know what "thickness" of head gasket to get and what does it depend on?

well how would i know what thickness to use? Im sure a shop would know betetr then me but i would just like to know what is the "best" thickness? (btw ill be running a t3/t4 turbo and also got the arp head studs with .020 over bore and 8:5:1 com in the block) if that helps
