Hello, I have a 95 Talon TSI FWD. It is all stock but I ordered a
turbo xs boost controller,
Injen Intake,
1g blow off valve,
boost guage,
air fuel guage,
volt meter guage,
and triple guage pod.

Now with that right there can I crank the boost up a little? Or should I just wait till I get an exhaust to crank it up. I think I can but I didnt know for sure and dont know how high I can crank it up. Let me know. Thanks

welcome to dsm's

I really wouldnt turn the boost up too much until you have a way to log your timing to watch for knock. I did an intake and 1gen bov and noticed some great gains without raising the boost. The new bov will raise the boost some. Look into a david brode UICP. Mine was cheap and works real well. From what I remember from the short time I had an egt gauge with the t25 and those mods I could run about 15 psi and not see too high of an egt maybe 870? I couldnt log knock though so I was cautious.

i for sure wouldnt turn up the boost before you can log it :thumb: i am pretty sure that the t25 cant handle much more boost and work efficiently anyway

Your still running the stock t25 turbo, correct? If so then you don't really need to monitor timing & knock at this point. As for turning up the boost, I wouldnt turn it up that much until you get an exhaust and new ic pipes. Then you can turn it up to 15 or 16 psi max or your t25 will have a very short life span. You will realize that the t25 is very small and runs out of steam fast on the top end. This will give you a nice "punchy" midrange but above 5000-5500 rpm's your boost will drop to around 13 psi, which is normal for that turbo. If you wanted you could install your boost controller now and set it around 13 psi, which is around the stock boost but the boost controller will help your boost to be more stable and not drop off as much when the revs go up.
