SIZE=3]I just got my first turbo charged car just over 2 months ago. Its a 1996 eclipse GST thats all stock. Up till last week i had boost in all gears but all of the sudden i cant get any boost in first or second gear:confused: . I still get good boost in 3-5th gear and hear the bov sound when i shift from 3rd-4th-5th. Im new to turbos so what could be the problem? And just a another quick question how much psi does it come with stock?[/SIZE]

Couple of questions..
1) Do you have an aftermarket Boost Gauge?
2) Has anything changed at all since you 'lost boost' in 1st and 2nd
3) Do you have an aftermarket BOV, if so what type?
4) When you hit WOT in 1st and 2nd gear, what does the boost gauge read?
5) When you hit WOT in 1st and 2nd gear does it sound different?
6) Is there any different sounds you have noticed?

I dont have any aftermarket stuff. And it doesnt make the turbo sound in first or second just engine rev sound. I just drove it and in second WOT it does boost a little but not to the top of stock guage. And not WOT but accelerating it wont read full boost just 1/2.

But in 3rd + it will go to the top of the boost gauge?

If I read this correctly, under partial acceleration you boost gauge reaches 1/2 way up. What does it read under WOT (Wide Open Throttle in case you were not familar with the acronym)

Agreed - it would be a wise investment if you plan on upgrading your car. That way you can see the actual numbers not a little stick moving up and down between '-nothing' and '+something'

In WOT (pedal on the floor) in second it wont go past 1/2. I think its the gauge, im going to order an autometer boost gauge as soon as i get 50 bucks i can spare.

yes in 3rd-5th gear it does go to the top of the stock guage. Also some people have told me that the stock BOV is really crappy and can leak and not hold boost.

I have a 0-30 gauge thats accurate till 19 pounds its a 2 1/16 I will sell you for 5 bucks plus shipping

three most common : boost, air fuel, egt .....thats what i've seen out of most of my dsm friends...
