ok guys, i'm upgradeing one more time to try and get more power. right now i am running a t3/t04e 50trim stage 3 with .63 ar housings. I have just about everything one could want for an eclipse gsx, but I wanted even more power. I laid down 436whp @25psi with this current setup but I want to break the 500 mark. could any of you give me some specs on what trim 60-1 to run, or if they even come in diffrent trims. the reason I ask is cause it took me 4-diffrent t3/t4's to realize the trim, and ar. and stage exhaust wheel really matter for power vs street drivable. I really think the 50 trim Im running is perfectly streetable, and dont mind loosing some more low end as long as it's worth it. so what do you guys think I should run?.....if its available I would like to run the 60-1 stage 3, with .63 ar housings like my 50 trim. I think it would spool just as good as my 50, but have a lot more top end cause the 50 flows 49lbs a min, and the 60-wheel flows 60lbs a min. help me out

How about this one?

AGP RS60
Want to take the next step? The RS60 is for those interested in some serious timeslips, and still have a pretty wicked "street" car. We have already been able to get 534 whp and 445ft/lbs to the ground on one of our cars. All that power and the ability to reach 30psi by 4000rpm, this hybrid is a serious contender.

-60 lb/min compressor
-60-1 compressor wheel
-76 trim T31 or T350 turbine wheel
-T04E (3" inlet, 2" outlet) or T04S (4" inlet, 2.5" outlet) compressor housings
-Setup for manifold mounted or O2 mounted external wastegate
(internal wastegate optional)

I am curious. Is your mod list up to date? You are making that power with a stock MAS and a super AFC? Could you not make a lot more power just by going to DSMlink or some other standalone and perhaps a GM MAF (and bigger injectors), before deciding to ditch your current turbo?

I have a full Garret T04S 60-1 .82 ar from AGP on my car and im on a stock internals. This turbo has major top end it literally puts me in my seat and scares me sometimes..But it is one laggy mofo i begin to see boost at about 3400 and then I get 20psi around 4500. I havent really dynoed or put race gas in it, remember im still on stock motor dont wanna blow anything up. But yes this is a great turbo for you to reach your 500hp level. In my case I hate the lag, but from a roll race this turbo will own just about anything. Ive been thinking of selling my 60-1 and picking up a 50trim because I cant stand the lag anymore. But then again everyone has there own opinion on what is laggy or not. My goals are 400whp so a 50trim would be perfect for me.

25psi? Try 30psi and see what the power output is. I'm sure there is more in that turbo. A bigger turbo will make higher hp easier. Either way, it's up to you.

I also think you might get ot 500 whee hp with the 50 trim with cams and nice intake like magnus and standalone. But if the lagginess of the 60 trim is too much than a couple of things.Been reading that stroker motors like 2.3 take spool down 500 to 800 rpm I think I read. That would help and a small shot of nitrous like 50 to 75 set to come on at like 2500 would likely also help a lot.Or go ball bearing for bigger power and quicker spool.

I think will be happy with my 50 trim with a 75 shot on it that should give me 500 at the wheels with planned magnus intake and a nice fmic.Already have cams.I think my 50 trim is not that laggy.Plan on stroker for sure though.

Lag isn't really that big of an issue. There's no need to have all that power on tap just for regular driving. When racing, it's easy enough to build boost. I have no problem spooling up my 60-1 when I need to. If from a roll just downshift and the boost kicks in fast, if from a stop I can build boost off the line.

How you building boost off the line on a 60-1 with a 5 speed?

like he said, 2 step, it make a secondary rev limiter, user set which lets it bounce back and forth at the set roms, usually people set around 4500-5500.

I also just upgraded my 50trim to 60-1 (Gt13) and hope to pick up some power. just go with BB and the spool up won't be too bad.(I hope)

yes my mod list is up to date I think... but if not, i do have the comp 101200 agressive cams, and built motor. by the way do you wanna trade your 60-1 for my 50trim stage 3? let me know. also i am still running the afc, and stock mas, do you guys think that is my 2-big hold backs with this 50-trim? and maybe I need a new intake manifold, also do you guys think I should go with bigger injectors than the hrc 625cc i already have installed?

I am about to buy the AGP RS60T. I am just waiting to findout if it uses the same bullseye turbine housing as my AGP RS40/50 tim. The 50 rim has only 1500 miles on it but that RST is a beauty and Ben claims with the proper mods it spools quick, like 30 PSI by 4000 PM's. Would be happy with 22 PSI by hat RPM. I would think 625cc inj's would no be enough for the 60-1.
Eclipsei95ci why did you go with an .82 a/r turine housing? That is causing the slow spool. The bullseye I have has the stage3 wheel and I believe a .63a/r or even a bit smaller, Bullseye will not disclose it!
Anymore info on this AGP 60-1 would be appreciated. Mark

I hate to dig up old threads, but if you haven't already. Ditch the SAFC for DSM link, ditch the MAF for a 3.5 gm maf and MAFT, and I am sure you are maxing out your injectors. I was a 95% on my 720's. Get some bigger injectors as well.

My 60-1 spools like mad and the IDC at 22 psi is 75% with 650's. You can check my mod list. mark
