When Swapping 1g head to 2g???

Alright i've been doing quite some research on the subject, but i am a little in the dark on a few parts. When it comes to the cam angle sensor. I have a 2ga cas which is behind the intake cam. Will a 2gb sensor use the same sensor plug as the 2ga. If so i know i have to drill and tap a 1g cam for the 2gb sensor, but do the hks cams come pre drilled and tapped for the 97 sensor? Or should i just use a 1g cas and scrap my cam angle sensor and crank angle sensor?

I would like to just use the 2gb cas, but i'm not quite sure if i should since i'll be getting a 6 bolt shortblock next winter. I need some imput from tuners who have done this swap.

I did both the motor/head swap from 2g to 1g JDM. The CAS will work with the swap. I kept mine on because of the simplicity of keeping it on.

Does the 97-99 sensor take both the cam and the crank signal, or just the cam?

just the cam, there's a separate crank angle sensor

It takes just the Cam Angle pulse, but you need to tap into the Crank Angle Sensor and splice it in with your Cam Angle. If you don't, your car won't turn over. It is very simple though. Check out www.vfaq.com, they have a step by step on this.
