I know this has been beat to death but I was wondering what the opinions are of the sbr for 250 or the evo for 190. Would be the sbr be worth the extra 60 bucks, ie.... would I see more gains over a mildly ported evo?? I'm planning on the t04b this winter.

Also, Does anyone know if the t04b will fit with an evo exhaust mani?? Waterlines??

Thanks for the space, Kyle :thumb:

Go with the Ported SBR manifold. It would be larger than the EVO manifold, and the turbo will fit better because of the flange. Search a bit and you will see a pic of my manifold. :thumb:

I went with the evo mani, I couldn't justify spending the extra 100 bucks on the sbr ported, vs the sale on the evo with my porting skills :thumb: I'm sure it will be a PITA to make that T04b fit, but whats working on the dsm w/o a little problem!

Good luck anyway. :thumb: IF you do get it to fit good then you know you saved yourself $100. Although, if your time is worth more than $40/hr to you, then you wasted that because of the porting you will have to do. I am sure it will be all good though. Did you get your turbo from Bullseye? I believe their exhaust housing is made to help fit that turbo to the stock manifold w/o having to modify the water pipe.

that's what i thought to. from what i understand the turbine housing from bullseye is made as a direct bolt up.

btw, i would just get a ported 2g mani. i doubt you'd tell the difference between the 3, all else equal. plus, 75 bucks + DIY porting job > 190+ for a different mani.

Yeah, I heard it is supposed to fit as well. But I heard the same thing for my fmic....thats another story. Well my time is definitely not worth $40 an hour, plus I have access to a full machine shop, and porting is something I have wanted to learn how to do anyways. blcknspo0ln, Yeah thats true the difference between the three are probably minimal, but the evo was on sale and figured what the heck.
Now, what is the difference between the runners on an evo and 2g?? The evo is larger in the runners and at the collector correct?? I'll search around, but someone feel free and answer. :p
