i just got a 90 talon tsi awd :laugh: and i just order a 16g turbo, safc II black, intercooler pipes, walbro 255lph, and a new clutch (might order a flywheel) but i was wondering what injectors would i need in order to run 22psi or more on the 16g without fuel cut (order fmic soon) also what do you guys think of the (TRE-spec Center differential spool) would these be good for using on the street since this is going to be my daily driver.

CHECK THE (TRE-SPEC CENTER DIFFERENTIAL SPOOL) ANY GOOD FOR STREET OR ONLY FOR RACING??

The real only wat to combat fuel cut is to have your computer modded. I always ran 20 psi on my 14b and barely got fuel cut, I guess it's just something to do with the computers. You got exhaust also with all that stuff you ordered? Sorry, but I cant help ya with the center diff question b/c I'm not keen on those things.

well i'm getting a 3 inch downpipe and complete exhaust, i already have a turbo xs mbc and the rewiring kit. :D just trying to get close to 12's
 
if you plan on driving like a moron (clutch dumping), then yes, the center spool is probably a good idea...if not, your stock center will hold up fine...I have a TRE trans and it is great...make sure you take your time and do all the other stuff Jon recommends you to do as well (mainly, shim out the fulcrum for the clutch fork)...
 
I don't think a spool is nessacary if 12's is your goal. I went with a TRE spool cause I asked Jon what I can do to kept my center diff from exploding when I'm putting 500+ HP through their tranny. I was thinking welded Diff but he said the Spool is a lot better and just about as strong. Basicly if I can break the spool I can also break a welded Diff.

Fuel cut is built into the computer and if you use the AFC and bigger injectors to stay away from fuel cut then you will be running some serious timing advance cause of the lower load map your are on. I use a EPROM ECU and do my own EPROM's so I don't worry about it. I just take the fuel cut code out entirely. You can learn up on DSM-ECU and learn how to do your own programing. A EPROM ECU and hardware will cost almost as much as a AFC and your car will run much better.
 
A spool will make a street car handle like crap. Ask Jon about the 4 gear spider.
 
Well a spool is a hell of a lot cheaper than the 4 spider diff. Also the spool will make turning a real PITA. Will bounce a lot and it will wear your tires out a lot faster if you do a lot of turning.

Don't look to get under 1.6 60 foot times. The amount of stress you will place on the tranny for that kind of launch is very damaging. I would shoot for 1.7's 60 foots and let the HP get you down the 1/4 instead of tring to do it with a super fast launch. Every sub 9 second DSM launchs very slowly for a reason. They slip the clutch so they don't go through tranny's constantly.
 
550 injectors should be good. i'm personally going to use 650's because i do plan on stepping up once i've had my fun with my big 16
 
i have fuel injector clinic 660`s i just took off cause im going larger for larger turbo,if you want ill fedex air express them to you $260,i also have a fp big 16g both with less than 1000 miles on them blew my tranny just got a race tranny so im going huge t67 with 880`s,email me at [email protected] if interested
 
Oh wow... On video it looks way slower... Guess it's one of those illusions... Just checked it out ont he time slips... Well... They still don't dump the clutch on a launch... I've seen a few video's of Shep's passes and someone else in another sub 9 1G...
 
Shep's said that he easies it out of the hole, yet still cuts a 1.3 60ft, I wish I could ease it out of the whole that quickly
