heres a mitsu fuso truck turbo off an fe.it said td05h 49178 on the compressor housing but you cant read it anymore.its a g wheel but i dont know if its an 16g or an 18g.its full spooled at 3900 or close to that dont remember the exact rpm but im not off by too much and pulls no problem to redline.i got a good deal on it so i picked it up quick as shit.

ANY INPUT ON THIS FROM ANYONE WOULD BE GREAT

heres a pic,

Get the closest measurement of the compressor bore as you can and I may give you a good shot ai it. Mark

Aren't all Fuso trucks diesel? If so your gonna have a hell of a time making that work on a gasoline engine. I'm a newbie when it comes to diesel vs gas turbos, but isn't a diesel turbos exhaust side alot bigger? -Matt p.s. sorry if I'm totally off :|

For your compressor wheel bore here are some sizes and the turbo's they are from:
1.830"=16G
1.892"/1.9"=big16g/17C
1.990"=18G
2.070"=20G

For reference the 14b is 1.695"

If the turbine wheel and exit bore are similar to the 14b I say 20G also given the size of the comp wheel and spool rpm. Mark

i used the compressor housung and center cetion bolted up to my 14b turbine housing.

Guess you installed it before you measured the bore.If you take the intake pipe off wil you get a measuremet? The turbine wheel was the same size? mark
PS: It looks like you are not using a boost controller, just the actuator's setting, true? Does that help spool?

it feels real good,pulls all the way to redline with no problem.the compressor housing is alittle bigger than a standard tdo5h housing.i had to fab the wastegate to make it work since the turbine housing that came on it is the same for a starion.i have another pic thats really good but i dont know if i can get it to work.also it has an oil line and no coolant line like most misu turbos.i will measure the inlet with a micrometer in the morning.

so what do you measure exactly, the inside diameter opening of the comp housing where the intake pipe goes (where the compressor wheel is?)

Yes that is correct. That bore measurement will be the inducer size of the compressor wheel within a few thousandths. With cheap plastic mics I got 1.705" on an old 14b I have here. There is enough of a difference in the mitsu comp wheel sizes that if the measurement is close to one of those I listed we will be able to make a determination as to what size this turbo is, if the Fuso trucks used the same wheels and there is no reason to think otherwise...yet! mark
