so right now i have a 96 GST, stock w/eibach springs and HKS carbon ti exhaust...anyways, i want to run low 13's possibly high 12s but i know the FWD is hurting, hopefully w/some slicks and LSD i cant minimize the problem. I was considering one of the 16G turbos, undecided on B, or Evo, or small...someone also suggested the T-28, i heard that it takes a lil longer to spool however??? I heard the Evo is the most effiecent out of them. i was also planning on one of the greaddy FMIC, i know they have the large and small one, how do i pick??? i was thinking HKS SSQ BOV and 550injectors, warlboro 255pump...so since my exhaust isnt turbo back, just cat, can i pick any downpipe to put on it? or is there specific ones to look for that will bolt up. also i plan on getting a header and the dejon tool intake (how do i know which oens?)and MBC... also how many of these th ings could an average joe and some friends w/some engine knowledge and a lot of tools do on their own?

Its sounds like you should do alot of reasearch before you do anything. There are alot of turbo choices out there, it pretty much comes down to personal preferance. However I can tell you that the t-28 spools faster than the 16g. Do you want quick spool or some lag with more top end. Read everything you can about every turbo out there and good luck making a decision it isn't easy. As far as the FMIC the greddy was the one to get years ago, now with all of the short routed kits out its kind of obsolete. There is alot of info out there, reasearch every mod extensivly before you buy anything. Nobody is going to spoon feed you the info and nobody is going to say use x turbo + y FMIC +z injectors and you will run a 12.5. Welcome to the world of DSMs and have fun researching.

yah, thx for the reply...ive only had the eclipse bout 6 months, it is SOOO much different from the world of domestics: camaros...reason why i thought of the products i listed is because they seem like very common picks so i figure they must be doing something right...i c what ur saying...there is so much to read LOL.

Yeah, I've had mine for over two years and I'm on this form a couple hours every day. Still learn new stuff all the time. Make sure whatever you get is what you need so your not upgrading your upgades in the future. I'm on my third turbo(t-25, b16g, 60trim) Second FMIC(Greddy large, Slowboy Race) Second exhaust(Greddy PE, Thermal R&D) I would have saved a good amount of cash by not buying the same mods twice. Check out the tuning guide on here and it gives you the right idea.

1.Exhaust
2.Intake
3.UICP w/BOV
ect

Good luck with the project. :thumb:

thx man, i was actually reading for about 2 hrs last night just on the dif. turbo choices...i think im gonna go w/the T28 because from what i understand its a direct bolt on, and it actualy spools up sooner than the 16g. i figure i can get my low 13s, hi 12s on hi boost w/this turbo and i dont plan on going any faster than this, w/THIS specific car...
