What is the most amount of boost you can run on a 14b with an upgraded fuel pump ( Walbro 255) with stock injectors ? Thanks

17 or 18 lbs for the small stock injectors more after you get bigger injectors.........id only go with 17 to play it safe

With 190 walbro pump, I would run out of fuel at 17 psi on a cold day, so had to leave boost at 16 psi. At the track I ran 24 psi on stock injectors and pump, but I dont recomend that. 550s gave me plenty of room to run 20 psi on pump gas with the 16g and 18 psi with the 14b. (On my current turbo though I was running out of fuel on 550s at 19 psi :D)

I just today installed a walbro 190 on my car and turned the boost to 15. What exactly does fuel cut feel like? IS that a way to see how high i can run boost? just keep goin up till fuel cut or timing gets pulled? or should i stick to 15 psi and just get a logger?

Can keep increasing boost until i hit fuel cut? Or can i still run lean enough to mess something up without hitting fuel cut?

i put a walbro 255lph fuel pump on my 90dsm with stock 14b and stock injectors, and on stock boost, it felt considerably slower. I haven't installed my boost controller yet to see what happens but i wonder why would it seem slower at stock boost seeing as i still have the stock injectors. hmm....

Too much feul maybe... I have the same feul pump on my car and I am running into rich problems I think. I have read on a different string that running rich will pull timing much like running lean. I put a home made MBC in there and it spools quick (according to the stock boost idiot guage) and runs hard on top maxing out at around 12psi... or so it says. Occasionally it will pull timing around 5-6k. I am gonn git a autometer A/F guage and boost guage to help me with this. I pulled the O2 sensor off briefly with no real change as far as timing pull, thats how I came to the conclusion that I am running rich. I could be wrong though, this is my first time playing with TURBO so Im sure I need about as much tuning as my car does.

You're running a boost controller with no boost guage? [shaking head in disbelief] You do know that the 12psi on the stock boost guage has nothing to do with and no relation to 12psi boost pressure right? Just curious.

yea they are related. They both read as 12psi :D

go get a real boost guage! the stock one is just a computer estimate, and a poor one at that. Also it only goes so high, so once it is pegged your just guessing! you could be running 15 psi(safe) or 22, (dead motor soon)
