ok all heres my problem i just rebuilt my moter and i think i am having oil pressure problems. any one know what the stock oil pressure is at the head. All the mods on my car are in my prof. i am getting a really bad lifter knock and when i rev it up it stops. i dont have my dsm link setup on and that shouldent have any effect. i did the ballence shaft eliminator kit and that should have raised the oil pressure. i put bran new lifters in the car so i have no clue whi shes got lifter knock so if u have any ideas post umm. hit me up with what the pressure at the head should be thx :barf:

Not sure about pressure values at the head (off the top of mine), but when you did the B/S elimination, did you install a blocking plug or use a kit? If not, that'll lower your OP significantly.

I dont know what it is 100% to be able to tell you. BUT I have my stock sender mounted on the head.. the gauge stays at the first mark at all times no matter where the autometer is on the filter housing. the head has a regulator ( I guess) built in which only allows it to get a certain amount of pressure..

from my guesstimation of where the stock gauge was psi caompared to the autometer I would say 30psi is about what the head has.

I have a 90' 6 bolt motor with the balance shafts removed also.

thx for the help keep se :barf: nding sugestions. on the bs eliminator kit i used the kit reversed the two bearings and put the stub shaft in and then blocked the front hole in cover. also any one know where to hook up the oil pressure gage to do a test of the pressure on the head :barf: at this point that is what i am doing can some one please help me out or any sugestions on how to find out what it is.

when u gas it does they gauge move up? im having the same problem right now but no real loud lifter tick. i had a bad rebuild on my car. theres to much oil passing the bearings so it doesnt have good oil pressure at idle. as long as u dont leave ur car at idle for a long time ur car should be fine for a while. eventually ur bearings will get messed up thats what my friend said.

As where u put ur oil pressure gauge. do u know where your oil pressure sending unit looks like? its a round bronze looking thing. with a wire coming from the top of it. thats for a 90 eclipse. thats where u should put the aftermarket gauge line for oil pressure.

i am just talking for the test.where do i hook up for the oil pressure test the head. i dont think its my bearings we measured the crank and it was fine. is there are way to take plasitgage again with out pulling :barf: engin.
