No Oil Pressure?

I have no oil pressure reading on the gauge, I've replaced the sending unit, maybe I damaged the new one or something. If you guys have any ideas PLEASE let me know. I have driven it about 5k mi since, so I know its getting oil pressure, its just not reading it. Any input would be appreciated.

get an aftermarket gauge, the stock ones are garbage (just like the bewst gauge)

get down there and make sure its hooked up and the connection is clean. make sure the wire isnt broken in any area. And i also believe that if you ground out the guage wire when you first start the car it will bounce up then fall down to show you the guage is working. Youll have to try it though im not sure if thats true anymore.

The plug that slides over the post on the bottom of the sending unit slides off too easily IMO. I would crawl under my car and reattach it almost every day. I fixed it by stretching some heat shrink tubing over the end of the plug after I reattached it. It has been working ever since.

...And if that wasn't your problem, and you still have low oil pressure... I'd look into possibly replacing the spring in the oil filter housing that controlls the Oil filter bypass valve, and/or atleast taking it apart and cleaning it. -You might have to remove the oil pressure sender in order to remove the plug for it (See pic... it's right next to the Oil Pressure Sender in the pic... This pic is of a '90 6 Bolt. -The 7 bolt will look similar).

yeah myne did the same thing turned out a small screw came loose inside the GAUGE CLUSTER i found this when i installed new cluster lights in the back of the oil pressure gauge there are 2 screws with a spring of some sort... i made sure everything was back to normal and started up the car and sure enough i got excellent pressure from startup to cruising around... so i guess the little pointer was stuck or something and need that screw back in to go up otherwise it would just sit at the bottom reading low pressure the entire time i was driving... :laugh:

Well the wire thats running to the sending unit is in tact. There is another wire hanging thats shreded, its yellow, don't see anything it connects to. I had a belt break and I guess it cut it when it did. The oil pressure dropped on my way home from miami when I first got the car. I replaced the sending unit and it still didn't work after so I'll check some things you guys suggested, appreciate it. Thanks.

Today I noticed a some small spots of oil comming from the oil filter area. Any change a gasket is blown, or torn cause no oil pressure or something? What gaskets or gaps could cause an oil leak there?
