Hey thinking about this swap. Wanted to know what the cc's is for the sohc I think the dohc is 46. My question is when I go to swap this head is this going to change the compression on my spyder. Im thinking about doing this swap cuz I have everything already laying around from my old motor out of my tsi.
thanx

Are you keeping the car N/A? As in are you wanting the car to work like a '94 Galant GS?
If you are wanting to turbo the car you are undoubtedly going to need new pistons and rods, will have to plug up some holes in the block. Everything that's described in the seven bolt 2.4 thread.

not going to turbo just asking what compression will I end up with when all is said and done not going to turbo it

Hi,

I have the 4G64 block with stock pistons. Someone told me that they have 11:1 compression. If this might help.

Not hardly.

The '99 Spyder GS had 9.5:1 compression. 9.0 for Cali cars. I'm not sure how turbo cams and ECU will like an engine without a turbo. You may be better off finding a head or cams and a ECU from a '94 Galant GS.
