hey guys, i know this thread is coming early but its been on my mind, what is an ideal base timing for a race gas setup. I read that you should advance it slightly, along with increasing the boost.
is this correct, my setup will be 510cc injectors, or possibly 550s, 14b, 20psi, race gas, 190lph pump, afpr possibly.

first off you dont need bigger injectors with that setup. and you didnt mention how your going to compensate for the bigger injectors either. i would run 8* initial timing.
 
sorry, I will be using my datalogger, along with keydiver stage 3 with injector compensation, and a maf-t....
I'm going to be using 510s certainly now, as I just got them....
as for the turbo suggestion I dont wanna switch to a bigger turbo yet... I think/ know I can put out some very decent times with the 14b...

edit... I will also have a nice fmic in about a week or twos time... 26x9x3 core size, with 2.5" piping, short routed.
 
that 14b will be workin overtime to fill that core. post up when you find your turbine wheel in the intercooler core :laugh:
 
aha, but wtf why buy a smaller one this year, then buy a bigger one next year, I think you will agree with me on that.
im thinking I minus well get the support out of the way, and then move on to a 16g of some kind if and probably only if I blow the 14b up, if the 14b doesnt melt or explode, she will continue to be run to her full extent.
