Hey anyone using the 7bolt 2.3 stroker kit from SBR or have any idea about it are they prone to go on CW's like a regular 2.0 7bolt motor.Because i was thinking maybe i should just get a Stage 2 Head from SBR and get the 2.3 7bolt Stroker kit and build the bottom myself.Any Info or suggestions greatly appreciated.

How about we dont turn this into Vendor Bashing?
Hey man first of all i aint no vendor i came here to find answers i dont know what u mean by vendor bashing but i dont appreciate u coming here talking all that smack i dint ask the question or asked for Eagle_summit's opinion if u gonna be a dumb goat dont bother replying and just move on and let ppl with better opinion answer my questions.Anyways moving on anyone with better opinions than this dumb tuner over here

hey bud, i think eagle was just saying he hopes this thread doesnt get hijacked into a vendor bashing thread and get closed........

As far as the a"stroker" a 7-bolt will still have the same chances of crank walk.

which is still a pretty low chance of it happening. Any car can crankwalk, 2g 7bolts are just a couple more % chance of it happening. Not like 50 or 40 or even 30%. If you build the motor right, you'd be good to go.

why not just call the vendor and ask them? I don't buy anything without research and looking at other options. I've had nothing but good results with SBR products and service.

Your question is to open for varience. Asking this on this forum is opening up a can of worms. one person tells you one thing, one tells you the oposite. Just like the whole CW issue.

Try a real serious and indepth search.

Sweetrs i was referring to what Stapl3 had first said.

And you can thank him becuz im sure this thread is getting locked now. But ive heard plenty of great things about SBR. Also why dont you contact them, and ask them some questions, perhaps they have a chart on the C-walk issue.

Someone told me the 2.4 Cranks from SBR, are used refurbished cranks. Now i don't know this for sure, so i might email since im thinking about doing the same swap, 2.3 stroker.
Though im still debating if I just want to get a 2.4 7 bolt block and just build the 2.4 hybrid?

Thanks People An Summit Sorry for the misunderstanding.Ill keep researching but u guys find anything that will help let me know. Thanks

I imagine this is something pretty new from SBR. Maybe they can tell you about the experience they've had with it so far and perhaps put you in contact with people who are running it. I've had grat experience with them and their technical correspondence.

They told me they have gotten really good news about it but i just wanted to get more ppls opinion on it

why dont you just get the 6 bolt stroker? I mean if youre already swapping out bottom ends, might as well do the swap?

Lol! ^^^ As for the real question, you still have the same chance for crank walk with the stroker as you do with any other 7-bolt. It's the nature of the beast. Try to find a junkyard 6-bolt for the parts you need for the swap; it will save you lots of money. You gits what i be sayin g-money? :D WERD!
