I installed the above parts in my 95' GSX yesterday afternoon. Injectors were no sweat.............

Well except for nearly burning my sh^t to the ground cause I was a dumbas^ and forgot to disconnect the battery and there was freakin spark ingnite the puddled fuel on the intake. I know I am truely stupid sometimes. Anyways got it put out with no damage what so ever.

Then after the injectors I started the fuel pump install. That went pretty smooth I guess since I have seen quite a few threads on PITA pump installs.

Well got it all in.....set the preliminary SAFC settings like on RRE. Took her for a spin. Had just a little popping from 4k-6k so I richened it up a bit.

My settings are as follows:

Hi-thr....1k/-20 2k/-21 3k/-21 4k/-20 4.5k/-19 5k/-19 6k/-18 7k/-18

Lo-thr...1k/-29..2k/-17..3k/-8..4k/-10..5k/-10..6k/-10..7k/-10

Lo @ 30 Hi @ 75

Pulls pretty damn strong. I am impressed.
Will burn all four tires when I launch it a 5000 rpm, nearly gets sideways!!!

Just in case you are wondering my mods:

Best pass before the 550's and pump

13.2 @ 101.6
R/t:.530
60ft:1.82
1/8:8.20 @ 93
1/4:13.2 101.6

Still have the ACT 2600 sitting here on the shelf. That and the EVO III steel shift forks and new syncros. Can't wait to actually get it in the 12's. I feel it. its so close.

Little more tuning and mid 12's should be a reality.

I can't praise the Big28 enough. I have alot "that I could" do left, and 12's are in my sight.

I could still port the turbo.
Get a better 02 sensor housing, or port that b^tch better.
go 3" exhaust.
port the exhaust mani.
get lower ICP and upper ICP-TB pipe
take all my interior out. (hehe NOT.)
Ohhh and a FMIC...but do I really need it for my goal...uhhhh NO.

Well thought I would update. Let me know if all this sounds like I am where I should be. Sometimes I doubt my combo but its working for me.

Wow that's pretty pimp. Those were going to be my next mods and I was wondering what some reactions were. How long did it take you to set those safc setttings? I'm guessing that you used a pocket logger to get it right.

get the dump tube 02 help that turbo spool up see this guy and he will make you one up:

>1/8:8.20 @ 93

What happen to the run? Something is not right.

This crappy track over here in Germany doesn't measure the 1/8th mile ANYMORE, but they did at the races before my car got over here. And I was tearing up cars that were running low 9's and mid 8's in the 1/8th when they were measuring the 1/8th. Then the people that put on the races brought enough cable to measure the 1/4 and just left the 1/8th mile times out. I would kinda like to know my REAL 1/8th so I could see how the car is pulling on the top end. Anyways.

So 8.20 @ 93 was fictional.

But how do you think the REAL

13.2 @ 101.6 sounds?

I will upload a pic of the time slip if you wish.

Thanks

hey GSXTACY im back...been working on my car....she pulls like a champ with the new big 16 in it. running it at 15 psi's now but im trying to get this pocketlogger thing downpacked. we really need to get together an have a lil DSM meet. when is the next time you guys are getting together? i wanna put mines in to get painted....hey it was 700 bucks the engines is 100 % the body really isn't just holla back at me when you get a chance i'll try to come down that when if you can give me a time. oh yea ya mods list got me lil scared gotta make sure my stuff is str8 before i come down!:dsm:

does it still pop. or did it stop when richened it. the dealership might pay for damages to my car. hope they do.

Here's something that caught my eye:

My settings are as follows:

Hi-thr....1k/-20 2k/-21 3k/-21 4k/-20 4.5k/-19 5k/-19 6k/-18 7k/-18

Lo-thr...1k/-29..2k/-17..3k/-8..4k/-10..5k/-10..6k/-10..7k/-10

Why on earth would you be running LEANER at high throttle than low throttle? When you are at WOT, you have more air coming into the motor, therefore you need more fuel. Get yourself an EGT gauge and check those temps. I bet you are running lean as hell.

I always run leaner settings at WOT than on low throttle... You cant compare airflow at high and low throttle since the ECU has already taken that inot account and is using differnt maps, and differnt methods entirely to arrive at injontime (open/closed loop) Its not simple enough to be able to comapre like that ;)

The upgraded fuel injectors that I have run at a lower duty cycle than the stock 450's that I HAD in it, but is actually 400cc more per cycle. Hmmm. And GSXracer is right by my research......there are two different fuel maps the ECU uses to calculate the right amount of fuel. I am no guru but this is working on my car......

haven't you read RRE's SAFC initial set-up recommendations:

EVERY CAR IS DIFFERENT.

maybe this is what is working.

hell maybe "I" am stupid.

The car will tell me eventually and right now it loves it.

Thanks anyways.

Mutha is pulling like 10 raped Clydesdales!!!!
