Dropping exhaust worth it??

Going to run the 1/4 tommorow, and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on dropping the exhaust and running straight out the downpipe. I realize it will save me 20-30 pounds, but will I lose/gain power?

It'd pretty much be like a dumped 02 housing without the wait of the full exhaust.

It should give you some more mph. I don't know if your dropping a 3' in or 2 1/2 but since you will have next to nothing for back pressure after the turbo you might try to run alittle more boost than normal.
I found that running a open race pipe at the track lets you hear your own car while staging against super loud v8's.
