After an hour or so on the dyno and several 498-99 runs it finally went over the 500 mark. Heres a short list of mods, including the many stock parts.

SBR Stage II Shortblock - FOR SALE (email off the board, [email protected])
SBR Stage VI Head
HKS 272s
SBR G60-1 Internally Gated
SBR FMIC w/ Tial BOV
Walbro 255 non HP
FIC 750s
MAF Translator + AFC1
2 1/2 DP, 3" The rest of the way
Stock Fuel Lines
Stock Regulator
Stock Intake Manifold
Stock Ignition
Stock Cam Gears
Stock ECU
Stock Fuel Rail

513whp and 449ft/lbs
Race Gas, boost at 38psi falling off very quickly to 28psi at 6800
The setup is simply outflowing the intake manifold and blowing the internal gate open, hoping to see even better numbers when the Magnus Manifold and external gate goes on for more testing.

I'll get the Dyno sheet posted later this evening.

might be a dumb question.....but are there any drive train mods?

jesus ... how long is that motor gonna last with all that boost?!

The motor has about 7000miles on it right now, not at the power level. It held 38psi only till 6000rpms when the boost started to fall off. I only ran it to 6800rpms on the dyno, because of the boost failling off and the stock intake it didnt make power any high than that rpm. By 6800rpms the boost was at 28psi.

I still drive the car to work almost everyday, but since the snow is coming I'll have to park the FWDer for the winter, the drag radials dont like snow. :thumbdown

Nice numbers - There is a guy locally that's making 531fwhp on Stock 6 bolt Block:

-ARP head studs
-HKS 272/272
-2.5" I/C piping
-IRC "Race" FMIC
-PTE SCM 61
-2.5" 02 housing w/Tial 40mm
-Ported 2G Manifold
-Home Made Sheet Metal Intake
-FIC 750's
-Walboro 255hp
-Aeromotive FPR
-SAFC1
-ACT 2600
-3" GM MAFT

it's his Daily Driver and he's been driving it for the last year and a half with over 500whp - so in reference to 38psi and how long it'll hold? He's run as much as 40psi on that set up and besides tranny's he hasn't had an issue.

Again Great job on the numbers.

The title of this thread is misleading.

There are people making this power with stock 6 bolt long blocks all day long. Guy on talk made 551whp on a stock 7 bolt. Nothing about your setup is really stock at all.

I'll assume you didn't use that sh!tty 2g20g that you guys focked me over on, huh?

I havent seen many people making 500+ on stock intake manifold with an internally gated turbo, nor did I say 500whp is out of the ordinary for a dsm. If you have a problem with your turbo feel free to contact me, 724-349-8417 ext 14, but leave it out of this thread as it is off topic and immature. No it wasnt a 2g20g actually, it was a 60-1 ;)

Congrats on the numbers. Are you guys planning on testing it on the track? I would love to see what that beast can run!

Thanks man, I'd love to get it to the track but unfortunetly our local track is closed for the winter, I may make a trip further south this or next weekend to get a few passes in.

About the FWD drivetrain mods... What about running the AWD front equal length axles & half shaft? -I seem to remember the FWD guys having one exceptionally long driver's side axle, and a short (standard for AWD cars) passenger's side axle (?).

I don't know about you, but if I were laying down 500hp+, I would like it have the same length axles all the way around. -I would think that this would help keep the tranny/axles happy.

Any thoughts?

(BTW, yer set of Topline revised lifters rule!! -G'Bye Lifter Tick!!! Although shorter than the OEs, they finally rid my car of the dredded phantom knock!!!!!! -Thanks again SBR!!)

Very good point, I have thought about swapping axles but haven't had a problem with the stock ones yet, If one breaks I'll most likely replace it with an AWD. I remember having a hard time locating the special seal for the axle because its different than an AWD. Someone used to make a custom seal with a spacer but I dont recall who, any ideas?

Thanks for the compliments!

THATS awsome!! congrats.. I plan on making 400whp with somewhat the same setup but with a different turbo 780cc injectors and stock cams

551whp on a stock 7 bolt. Holy Christ. I gotta read this, i tried talk and got this.

11/1/04 (Holy shit guys its the 10th, how about an update...)

We have had some problems with the DSMtalk.com website and have taken it offline.
We are sorry for this inconvenience. We will post an update next weekend (11/6-11/7).

The DSMtalk.com Team

IF ANYBODY PUT THIS IN THERE FAVORITES PLEASE HOOK ME UP, I always enjoy reading about guys crushing big numbers on stock blocks, but a 7 bolt i'm throughly impressed condsidering most of them chuck the rods at 400 horse.

Get me a link!!!! [email protected]

Nate, i'd congratulate you on your dyno numbers but i was there when you were running that freight train on the dyno.

Cragger - SBR - a.k.a. Nates dyno butt buddy and fellow head gasket collector.

You guys toss around these high hp numbers (400, 500, ect..) like it ain't sh#t.. I have a rebuilt motor block and head, cams, camgears, ACT2600, ACT flywheel, 680cc, MAFT, SAFCII, L2R turbo internal gate, 3" turbo back, FMIC... How are you guys tuning. I need a great DSM shop with a AWD dyno on the east coast to tune this thing. HELP!!!!!!!!!!

impressive numbers but im not fullly impressed at the boost you guys had to run , 38psi? LOL, thats a bit out of this world

I would like to see that power at maybe 25-28psi without the spikes

not too bad, about what i would expect from a built motor, cams, head, etc....

What i am impressed with is the power with the minimal tuning, as i think the car would probably make an extra 100whp with a standalone, i am starting to see the limits of the stock ecu with an afc...im surprised it even got there on just barely a piggyback :thumb:
