I know #@%#@%#@%#@% about turbos. I want to buy a 92 tsi fwd with 79k miles. I heard form a couple people that since it is 10 years old, the turbo will be damaged. I figure that since the car has low miles, it cant be damaged too much? I'm going tomorrow to test drive it, and i dont know what to look for in the turbo, please let me know what to look at.

I'm at 80K (91GSX) now and turbo works like a miracle.
My buddies 90GSX has some spool-up delay, but he's at 152K miles on a stock turbo, plus he had torn vacuum hose, which made turbo work a lot harder for a long time.
