Hi finaly geting my car back from a garnaded center diff and now have the shep welded one, any I dea wit race gas what I can push psi wise? 50 trim 660s safc and such I had ams tune it they said dont exeed 25. this sound right?

You could run 29psi if youd like, but if AMS said dont exceed 25, its probly for the reason they tuned for max 25psi. If you cant tune it yourself, dont exceed what they told you.

28? even with the 2g 1g rod combo but with aarp hard were and triple layer head gasket?

no problem. you could probably get away with 30 psi if you tune for it.

I ran 26-27psi on 100octane with the stock cams/head gasket/head studs, and nothing broke yet :p

I have the FP2 cams in now, so I think Ill keep the boost down to 23-24ish with race gas though.

a local guy ran 26psi with a 50trim, 550s, race gas and stock 6bolt... 660s should be able to max out the 50trim on your setup

it's all in how the fuel curve is tuned. i run 19psi on my 14b with 92, and a couple of local guys are making 400+ on 92

Is this still safe even thugh its at 20 psi on 93 octane?

Yup, It's all about knock and timing. The 50 trim just starts to see it's effeciency range around 20-22 psi on pump. With a 50 trim if you see knock and pulled timing it's not because the turbo is pushing hot air at that psi. It's because you need to tune or have a boost leak amoung other things. I'm assuming you have a logger since you said you have a safc so crank it up to 20-22 when you see knock adjust with the safc till it goes away and your good to go. As for race gas, if you have arp's and a good head gasket 30 psi no problem.

Hey guys Im going to get tuned with race gas and I have an safc2. Im getting tuned at the local dyno, do I still need a logger?

No u dont need one but it would be a good tool. It helps a lot when u start tunning on your own. The wideband and such that they have at the shops should have all the displays of your engine output that u need

get a logger. things change, never going to be constant, and nice to have when your at the track, or learning to tune yourself (wich u should do)

Exactly. IMO a logger and safc (or other means of fuel control) is the next thing on the list after a boost gauge and boost control when your starting to mod. They are so cheap there is no reason not to have one.
