Greetings all, i have a 2g 7 bolt motor that walked (with all forged internals ) eagle rods and wisco pistons

my question is can i reuse these rods and pistons on a 1g 6bolt non turbo crank and block if i bore the block .020 to match the pistons? or will i have to purchase all new forged pcs for a 6 bolt?

THANKS

TERRY

You'll definatly need new rods. 2g rods to not fit the journals on a 1g crank, they are much smaller. 2g pistons can be machined to fit 1g rods, which I just recently had done. THey bore the wrist pin hole, narrow the pin end of the rod, and rebush them for the wrist pins. However if you can find a good eagle/wiseco package, buy brand new 1g stuff, and get new rings, pins, etc, with the kit, that way it will all fit. Also, from my understanding, .020" over and a 2 is not .020" over on a 1g.
