2g piston upgrade on 6bolt--worth it??

Ok,
I need new pistons for my 92 AWD. Do 2g pistons hold up better against detonation and bigger HP? I'm actually looking at buying a kit from eagleautomotivewarehouse.com. ALL their parts are from "Topline." These parts are made to Mitsu. spec. I'm not going to be making huge HP and don't want JE or other aftermarket pistons, (until the next rebuild) so kindly don't recommend them. I don't really care about C/R difference ( I read all FOUR pages of 1fast97GSX's thread, and don't want that insanity to continue here.) All I want to know is whether the 2g pistons will hold up better, and some comments ONLY from people who have purchased/installed parts/a kit from eagleautomotivewarehouse.com. Thanks.

I just bought a used set of 2G pistons for like 100. From what I have heard they hold up very well, have a deeper dish for better spool and higher compression that 1G pistons. There also stronger than 1G pistons. I am planning on using 2G/1G in my 90 next year.

I got a set of 2nd gens. in my 6 bolt. Seem to be great for my set up. Couple of coments that I hope will help.

1. They appeared to be ceramic coated on top which I liked.
2. You will need to cut the side clearances and wrist pin hole 1 mm
3. I allso have Total seal rings, which some people will knock, but again they work great for me.
4. You will be going from 7.8 to 8.5

ive found wiht the higher 8.5:1 compresion it really makes the turbo pointless in city driving you really dont need it unless you wanna kill some honduh's

its a nice power proven combo.

a set (4) of 1g big rods that have been shot peened and are in execlent condition

a set of brandnew clevite crank and rod bearings.
