I have a 2g 1997 Eclipse GST. I also have a 1g 6 bolt motor in the garage, complete head and block.

I was thinking about doing the swap, but how much $$$$ do you think I have to spend to do the complete swap? Is it really worth it? I need to know....Thanks for your help in advance.

That slowboy kit is completly unnecessary If you can find a good 1g motor that doesnt need a rebuild (if you choose to not rebuild it) you could complete the swap for just the price of the motor.

i cant agree more with you but it still is good preventative maint. You can do the swap for real cheap it was more or less a start point for him a list of what he'll need

go to magnus's web page http://www.magnusmotorsports.com they give you a pretty good list on what you will need. And all the stuff in the slowboy kit is not really things you need new. I.E. you dont need a new oil pan, a used one you pick up for 15 bucks is the same as a new 150 one. I think i spent 300 for all the basic parts i need out of old 1gs, cleaned them up, rebuilt the motor and was on my way. ;)

Yes. I just wanna know how much money it would be for parts that I would need. Assuming that my 2g motor and the 1g motor is in good condition. Thanks
