Ok i was just wondering what cars the 2g mas came in? I know that it is in the 2g dsm but i also heard that its in some galants and the 3000gt/stealth. If so can you tell me what years, and i did search but couldn't find my answer.

Also check some of the Mitsubishi Diamante's with V6 also use the same 2G mas.

Off topic a bit but for anyone who can afford to spend a little more the GM MAF & Translator it's an exellent replacement for the stock mas. Runs about $250. with a MAF from a yard but offers fuel control. Just a thought. Apologies and thanks. Mark

Is the 2g turbo mas and the 2g nt mad the same or are they different?

PhatTsi, Yes the 2G mas from an N/T will work. I used a 2G mas from a Stealth that was a N/A V6, before I upgraded to the GM mas and translator.

I would be skeptical that a NA 2G would be equal to a2g turo mas. I know the 1G na and turo mas' are not the same and I would expect the turbo model o flow much more air that it's na counterpart. Mark

Mark, Keep in mind that the 2G mas from a 3000GT/Stealth is metering air for a V6 reguardless of it being for a N/A. It is NO bigger for the Turbo models in 2G's. The mas measures karmen vorticies created by air flowing around an obstruction in the center of the mas. The ECU of the car is programed to use this info to adjust air/fuel mixture to keep the car running. The 3000GT/Stealths use a different ECU program to process this info as compared to say a 1G eclipse. Also, this is why when someone upgrades to a 2G mas in a 1G they are told to get 550cc injectors and also most of the time need to get an AFC to compensate for the increased air flow. At least that was my basic understanding of how it works, If im wrong im sure Kyle or another wiseman will chime in and correct me.

Skeptical was a harsh word to use. I am going on knowledge from using 1G mas' on the Starion/Conquest turbo cars and a turbo mas was required. I'm quite new to these DSM's but learning! Mark
