I got a mitsu starion... i did the 1st gen eclipse MAS swap... was pretty basic now i wanna put this 3000GT MAS in but i need to solder splice the new harness on... only problem is the color coding of the wiring is different, does anyone have the wire diagrams or know how wire the new harness up? I'm not sure if the color coding is the same from the 1st gen DSM and the Starquests... but at anyrate, that is my goal... any info would be helpful.

IIRC, the 3S and 2g MASs are the same. So if the 1g MAS was working properly, then the vfaq for swapping a 2g mas into a 1g might apply to you. Not positive, but its worth looking into.

Are you 100% sure of that. I'd swear that I read, either on here, DSMtalk, or the 3Si board that there is a difference in the MAS's. More than the wiring diff ( if there is one) It had to do with a difference in the voltage outputs, that the 3s MAS had a different calibration curve.

Might be worth it to call Ramchargers, as I'm sure they'd know.

Before I went to a GM MAS, I used a 2G MAS from a Stealth/3000GT and it worked just like any other 2G MAS. Wiring it was easy following the VFAQ.

Mike W at RRE claims they are not and that the amount to have to compensate for leaness will not be linear.
