freakin c-clip! wont go in!

i jes purchased a hks bov kit. and it requires you to put in a c-clip to keep the bov onto the flange. its hella hard to get in..does anyone has tips? i read the instructions..its jes a bltch to get on! help!

yea... i have the same bov and had the same problems. DONT EVEN TRY without having c-clip (snapring) pliers. i have one. if you can wait ill bring them to the meet. we can install them there. or watever u can stop by my house dont matter, throw me a PM.

some shop put mine on and i can't get it off. when i had to flip it around to put on the recirc kit i ended using a brass mallet. i think the flange maybe wrong.

i jsut got some snap ring pliers and used a buncha Thrust penetrating oil.

get some serious snap ring pliers. i just did mine last night.

i also found that if you remove the frotn part (there should be 8 allen head screws) it makes it alot easier. but to help you out there are only 4 that really hold onthe shell. lok at it from level and the upper most left one is the beginning. from there every other bolt needs to come out. this gives you alot more room to work on getting that bastard c-clip installed.

have fun and expect to have it pop out and smack the shite out of you a few times.
