Dear lord,
Today, I have bought 1991 Laser RS turbo. I have around 2,600 dollars to spend but cannot decide on a good setup.
Alright enough of that...... Anyway, first off I cannot for the life of me find a turbo-back exhaust. My friend has a 95 TSI AWD, and he found a thermal 3 inch turbo back for 400 dollars. I don't know where, the only one i've found for my car is on extreme motorsports...and I'm not gonna spend 980 dollars + on an exhaust unless it gives me some substantial gains. So does anyone know of any other alternatives? Or have had experience with the extreme motorsports tb?
Second, being that my car is FWD, I am getting very pissed at everyone saying oh well don't do anything to it get an AWD. How bout you tell me where I can get a good L.S.D. instead? I found one at www.phantomgrip.com, but I hear they cannot hold more then 300hp. I was wondering if anyone knew of anymore. I have searched high and low, but I know i have to be missing them somewhere along the line. Last, I am getting a type-s BOV, just wondering which flange kit you guys would recommend...aluminum or mild steel. Thanks.

I just got a Pacesetter downpipe, Magnaflow muffler, one 90 bend and took it to a muffler shop and had it all welded. Got it coming out the passenger side. Sounds great and most importantly pretty cheap.

Congrats on getting a DSM. Welcome. First things first. Check cylinder compression before raising the boost. Check all belts, oil, coolant, hoses, boost leaks, etc.
IMO, next get 4 sticky tires. (This way you can better control the power as you begin to put down more power.)
Next, get back on this website and follow the DSM tuning guide for 1G's, to make Stage 1: 300hp.

Welcome to your new addiction. :dsm:

rnrracing.com makes a fwd turbo back. Of course, you should sell it and get an awd neways...

As for phantom grip....think about the name. It describes the product perfectly.

thanks for the post on rnrracing.com, just bought that 3" turboback!

Also... my friends mostly have DSMs and they got me into them. I'm already addicted. Thanks for the welcome! :)
