Should a Laser RS be able to beat a 91 RS 305 Camero? I beat a 91 RS Camero in my stock 90 Laser RS in a 1/4 mile pass. I told the dude that I was running a nat. asp. . I figured if he was to stupid to notice the sound of my BOV, then he didnt need to know the truth. he he he.

its a drivers race ... 305s are slow

The RS camaro's with the 305 are some of the slowest ones out there. You should be able to eat them up off the line and at high speed

I beat one about 1 1/2 years ago with my trunk full of softball bags, three passenger and the a/c on...oh yeah my car was bone stock. bench racing is against the rules.

I used to drive a late '80's Camaro with an out-of-the-box 305 motor, automatic. Like any stock mass production vehicle, there wasn't much to be impressed with. Had a nice seat-of-the-pants feel. It got slightly better gas mileage then a tank and was as nimble as an 18 wheeler. I've since raced similar models in my one wheel drive RS Turbo (at the track only, honest). I don't recall ever having much trouble keeping up. Especially on the highway. Just don't look over and grin at the guy after you beat him. They always appear to be so ashamed for some reason. So give 'em a break. :laser:
