Yes. Be sure to use a sledgehammer. The BOV is made of a tough material, so swing hard!

Don't crush the 1G BOV. Get a good aftermarket one. :thumb:
 
It's done in a vice with a couple pieces of wood on each side. I'm sure there are threads on here that tell you exactly how to do it.

FYI.. A Greddy BOV will fit right on a 1G flange, all you need to do is drill new holes for the bolts in the old 1G flange, but it doesn't interfear with the old bolt holes and is easy to do with a hand drill, then just bolt it on. Piece of cake.
 
1g bov + a peice of wood on each side + vice + vacuum pump = crushed bov.
 
this is almost as funny as the guy wanting to know how to check his oil.

i would pay to see someone use vise grips to crush a BOV. and if the sledge hammer didnt work you could always use a air hammer

thats what I did ... it crushed it almost instantly :laugh:
