Best boost level for t-25

Yeah, I know the T-25 ain't great but for now, until next spring it's going to have to do. I just spent a crapload having the engine rebuilt and the wife cut me off on the funds.

So, here's my question. What's the best level of boost to be running with the following:

stock T-25
Injen Intake,
IC Piping with 1G BOV
Ported head, manifold and o2 housing
2.5" HKS downpipe, high flow cat, HKS Cat back

Yes, I have a boost gauge.

toss in a 190lph pump and about 16-17psi will be your max, without the pump I'd keep it at about 15

...as much as you can without alot of knocking or pulled timing.

Roughly 15psi on pump gas. 18-20 if you "need" to get a new turbo in the next few months.

I wouldn't run any more than 14psi without a fuel pump. With a fuel pump you should run right around 16psi.

you may run whatever boost level you want with the stock fuel setup. just remember that after 15psi, youre just blowing hot air.

I run 14 and I don't heat soak too badly at the track.

14-15PSI tops!! any more and youre blowing hot air, the inefficient T25 combined with your stock SMIC will make for a bad combo at high PSI, not to mention you might knock from lack of fuel mods

I'd run 15 no more then 16. I have no fuel mods and havn't had any problems running even 20 psi for a short period of time (dsmlink says so). I do have a lot of other stuff though.

It almost doesn't even matter what you set it at. Once you hit 5500rpm your boost will drop to 12psi because the turbo is so small it can not provide enough air flow to feed the engine past that level.

It might also be because the wastegate blows open too easily at higher rpm. So you could try upgrading the wastegate actuator to the 17 psi unit from forced performance... that's if you wanted to boost that high.
