BOV cap broke going to the Manifold, what now? short term fix?

I jsut bought a 98 eclispe GST and when i was working on it, i removed the battery to replace it with a new one, and when i was taking it out i accidently hit the BOV cap, the vacum lines that runs to the manifold the little extension piece broke off of the plastic BOV cap. When i drive it the bost only creeps up to about 3/4 its stock max. IS there a short term fix to this? or do i have to buy a new one? i still have thh piece that broke off. Please let me know something.

You broke the nippe off your BOV.... you could try to glue it back on, but I'd suggest getting a new one from mitsu or a local autoparts store.

If you can, get a BOV from a 3000gt VR4 -- they are a little better and will hold more boost, whereas the stock bov has trouble holding 12psi.
 
Dont go buying another 2G stock bov. replacing a piece of crap with another piece of crap make no sence.

If your car is just is just a beater just to take you to work/school ect. then you can go ahead an get another stock 2G bov. look around at junk yards. I suggest a stock 1G bov. the 3000gt bov works also
 
Yeah the piece down at the Mitsu dealer is 103 dollars, i can get a 1g bov at buschur racing up in ohio. I got it JB welded for about oh 4 hours now.
This car is kinda like a daily driver, i just bought 430 dollars worth of parts for it, basic tune up stuff, just more high quality, That ZMAX stuff really works. The guy i bought this off of has races his cars, he has moded some of the parts on it already and hes is sending me some stuff he bought and getting ready to put on before he sold it to me. This car has plenty of power when it is going good. I had it jammin at 110 in 3rd gear, unless the speedo is off from the suspension drop. tell me what you all think
