Car won't idle with safc2 & CEL on! Unsure of settings?

I installed a safc2 and the car won't idle now. It starts and the CEL comes on then I hear a click from the ecu and it dies I followed the exact wiring diagram and it apears to work but it will not idle. I am unshure of the nessessary settings to make it work corectly Someone said I need to switch air flow type to Karman Vortex but I see no option that sais that. I am unshure of what dec. air is for also I put it on 4 cyl and the arrow to the the upper right. I put the Net at 30% low and 80% high and the settings are 0% on all. It came with no instructions. I tapped the knock purple wire to pin 9 and ran a ground from purple wire to chasis ground. Any info about this is greatly appriciated!

Get Adobe Acrobat and install that. They are PDF and need to be opened with that. I hope you have a logger becasie if you are messing with an AFC and dont have a logger you will hurt stuff. Use the logger to pull the code and it will tell you want is going on. i am guessing that it is pulling a MAF code.
 
I just pulled the code and it is the knock sencor I left all settings at 0% so it should not matter. I grounded the purple knock wire to the chasis and tapped into pin 9. I disconected the ground and it still throws the code. Has anyone ever heard of it degenerising the knock sencor signal? I am going to remove the ground all to gether and if that does not work I will remove the purple afc wire. Other than that I am pretty shure the wiring and settings are corect unless the sencor just gave out but, I dought it.

Indeed, a Logger will tell you your true knock Value where the S-AFC is a little iffy.

I don't have a logger! I disconected the purple wire completly and it still throws the code. I am not shure why but, the car seems to run hotter than normal without overheating like the uicp is hot and the smic also. I am sure I put it on Karmen in the settings The car runs now but is dogish and seems to be running rich. Also acording to my boost a/m gauge it shows 0psi at any throtle. I have no clue why it keeps throwing the knock sencor code. I set the low throtle to 50% and high to 80%.
 
Ok, the car is running now pretty good other than it is really hard to start and sometimes when I am driving it will just die and then I have to wate about 10 min before I can go again. I switched to ngkbpr7es plugs and that seemed to help. I am not shure why it is running so hot I also richened it up a little and that seemed to help also. I am getting a new knock sencor soon. Do you think that the fuel pump is not flowing enouph fuel and I am hitting mini fuel cut or something? It is rewired. The fuel pump is the only thing I can think of how it is runing hot and hard to start. Is the smic suppose to be really warm? Please know your help is appriciated.
 
I replaced all 3 capacitors and it still dies only it is doing it more often now. I think it might be a bad cam angle sencer because a guy on tuners not to long ago had that problem and had a cel (knock sencer) come up even though it was the cas. I don't know what the simptoms were though. I still hear the click everytime right before it dies and when it decides it wants to idle I hear backfires and pops like a mother and smell gas. I know it is running rich possibly due to the timing. The only other things I can think of is the ecu itself or the knock senser but, most people's cars dont die from bad k-sencers do they? Any help is greatly appriciated!
