1g head QUESTIONS!!!

Hey guys, im going to be installing a 1g head on a 2g turbo dsm.. my question for you is this

I got jsut the head for free... With the valves and etc etc... the exhaust valve set on the number 2 piston needs to be replaced... and what i am wondering is, if i get the valve job, will the cams, ( what bolts the cams down, im having a brain freeze,) all bolt right up to my 2g head, i will be puting 1g cams in it but are the other parts transferable... and secondly

what is it going to cost to get the valve job done, and could a person do that by himself... or do i need to send it in... thanks

Keep the 1G cam caps with the 1G head, IN ORDER. If you don't you will seize the cam. The head will bolt on. Do you have a 95-96 or a 97+?

all i got was the bare head, with the valves... no cams nothing else, tahts why i am asking you if i can just use the other stuff from my 2g...

You must have the original cam caps, swapping caps from another head will not work, as NDgsx said the cams will seize up and not rotate.
