13.7 is a good time for a fwd on that little turbo. No need for :thumbdown .

I used to run:

these mods got me consistant 13.0 - 13.1 ...... I am awd though and my trap speeds were lower than 105 or right on 105. That's on 17 psi on pump. Best run ever with that turbo was 12.8 @ 104 ... stock smic limited me. If I had to redo the car I would go back to that setup and just add a fmic to it and call it a day.

I need injectors to go any higher on 91 but for now I run in the high 11s' A/F on the wide band at the dyno, and I get the most horsepower 244 whp at 16psi with the AFC leaned out across the board -10, and richer towards redline... I've made 268 whp on race gas @18psi...But normally I leave the AFC at 0 across the board to be on the safe side of things. Prob is that my timing only advanced to around 11 due to my 450's, and it doesn't get pulled. :dsm:

yeah 13.8 is ok but i thought i would be faster. I know my 60' is killing me i average like 2.3's. I also have upper and lower intercooler piping, 1g bov, test pipe, i have nothng ported. Next is going to be some logging software!!
 
Hmmm, so to run a 16g you don't really need bigger injectors? Just a larger fuel pump and a SAFC? That would be good news, I am in AZ though and we only have 91 octane...will it still be okay without injectors?

start a new thread, to get the full potential out of the turbo you NEED injectors.

My best time with this setup was 12.6@108 with a crappy 1.9 launch. With some decent tires I should pull into the lower 12's.

Same mods that helped me to a [email protected] on 14b and mix gas, [email protected] on pump.

Just bolted a used s16g on and it feels faster on pump than 14b did on mix.

Can't wait to get new times on it here in 2 weeks.

Big increase in torque, smoke my 2600 after 5 launches. I run a cheap disk, not act's though.

Check VFAQ or RREs' website, and there is also an article in Sport Compact Car Magazine that explains the upgrade path of 1 and 2G DSMs'...To run a 16G at 16psi all you need is a fuel pump. ALL DAY!!!!!!! Two years straight I have been doing this on 91 Octane....And I run 18-20 on C-16 and watch my O2v on the AFC...

I know that The S-AFC is not extremely accurate on the O2v but I have referenced this on a wideband while on a dynojet and it is usually right on...

yeah rre says you can, my o2s stay at .94v or higher all the way up to 20psi(I am creeping badly) when I hit fuel cut. Because I have a fpr rc engineering says my injectors are like 518cc with the upped fuel pressure. SO with lets say 510cc injectors and a 190 pump I can run my car safely and it hasnt reached the point where itrs dumping too much fuel that I need a tuning device, although it would help.

Oh by the way I have a Big 16g dinosaur, even though I flow a little more air I can still run well over 32.xxlbs/min with good o2s. With that said you CAN run a small, big, evo 16g with only a pump and fpr up to certain boost levels. sorry to hijack
