Green Model Turbo Question

How long does it take to hit about 18psi with the green model turbo? Is there a lot of lag?
 
I don't think 3800 is bad for a Non Ball Bearing Turbo of this size. It might even be 3700, but I don't think that really matters. I do most of my racing from a 60 punch anyhow, so who cares.

...who cares. I fail to see how that comment contributed to this. He asked about Greens, not ETE32's. This site used to be pretty cool, but now all I see is flaming lately.

im sorry you feel offended, by my post. the intent was not to make this a turbocharger comparison. a bunch of guys around here actually have greens, and have a little better spoolup then what you posted. maybe you should try a better flowing 02 housing,and more tuning. i found that leaning out 2-3K on the high table helped spoolup alot:thumb:
 
My stupid car won't hit full boost till 5.5k OMG BUT I just finished tearing apart the exhaust mani and turbo because I had a leak at the mani. I'm hoping I will hit full boost at the 3.8-4k mark now. If not I may cheat and throw in a 30 shot. At least its good to know that other Green owners are hitting full boost at the 3.3-3.8k mark. I'm way off. Any ideas on what to check if my rebuild didn't fix my boost issue?
 
My car isn't tuned, so maybe that has something to do with my problems, but i'm still not complaining...this way I'm not spinning tires out of the hole :) Sorry I took that the wrong way JDMAWD. I know a friend has a 20g and it didn't spool till 3500. What do you think it should be spooling at if I might ask?

wow thats pretty broad, dont you think. honestly i have no idea, i have never owned a 20. nor do i know anyone who has one.
 
i consider myself lucky. my 14b doesnt hit 15psi until around 4500rpms, and its been like that since i got the car (exhaust leak + nearly dead turbo). once i upgrade soon, itl spool faster and hit a lot harder top end :)

my 20g hits full boost at around 3500, 3" trbo back ex no cat......
closer to 4000 with the stock exhaust come smog time.

Wowsers! I finally got my VPE 2.5" O2 housing on this weekend, 2.5" DP, and my own 3" test pipe with 3" Thermal catback. I am seeing approximately 10 psi by 2500 RPM. 16 psi comes along about 2700 RPM. This is all in 5th gear starting on level ground from 2000 RPM and flooring it. I am almost hating to put that Mutt on--I am liking the low RPM boost!

Ahh, thx ...well once i'm tuned and get some bigger injector's, I see what I spool that at. I'm sure it should be that also.
