ok guys i have a question. When lining up to race exactly how should i let the car launch. its a 95 talon tsi awd and the last time i just popped the clutch and i basically blew up the transfer case, it couldnt handle the torque, and it twisted the main shaft going in it from the tranny. im used to racing rwd cars not awd and im tired of getting ready to race and off the line i end up breaking something. the cost are becoming too great for me to handle so please if someone could help me it would be much appreciated. thanks :thumb: :thumb:

Don't dump the clutch!! That will get expensive in a hurry as you are finding out. You need the slip the clutch. IT is a technique that took me some time to work out.

Just practice and don't dump the clutch. :thumb:

I slip as well, I did well the other night with a bone stock car. Just rev to about 5k and when you launch release until you feel the clutch grab (if you've driven long enough, you sorta know where the friction point is), when it grabs, dump the clutch and go!
