Just like I said, I just got the Full Throttle AFPR and don't know if I need to bypass the
stock FRP Solenoid. Do I just plugg all the lines to the old one and run a stright line from the manifold to the new AFPR?
Thanks! :dsm:

I tried searching for that before posting, but had no luck!

leave that solenoid alone. just put the aftermarket fpr in, hook up the gas line, then the vaccum line comming off the solenoid.

good luck.

You don't need the solenoid in place. If you have DSMLink, it's much more useful to activate nitrous.

Everyone should bypass the stock FPR solenoid, even with the stock FPR. Its just another point of failure and doesn't give you any benefit to leave it in the loop.

Bypass the solenoid. SteveVR4 is correct. It is just one more component in the system that can fail. If it fails closed the FPR will not get the pressure signal it needs to raise fuel pressure on a 1:1 ratio. Eliminate it.

Thank you all, I will bypass and plugg the solenoid, and am I supposed to leave it connected so I don't get the Check engine Light?

Well, I somewhat disagree with removing it. All the reasons pointed out FOR removing it are quite valid, but there is a small downside... Removing the FPR solenoid *may* make the car difficult to start (and impair idling) on "warm" starts... *Especially* with more aggressive cams and a VPC :)

hmm, i just installed my aeromotive afpr and i left the solenoid in the loop. by removing it would it change my FP at all? also would i want to plug the vaccuum nipple on the afpr? or leave it unplugged? more info on this would be really helpful. thanks guys :thumb:

Maybe. If it does, that's what you have the FPR for.

No no no. Rather than going from vaccum source ---to---> solenoid ---to---> FPR, you will go from vaccum source ---to---> FPR.

Got it?

The FP solenoid only changes the fuel pressure under certain startup situations (to make the car start and initially idle better). During normal driving, it has NO effect on the fuel pressure.
