What the f*ck? Why in the hell should *anyone* bother answering you when you have an attitude like that? Gift horse? Mouth?

Someone who has bought the illusion that big name items will get them big name horsepower without the correct additional supporting mods. You're wasting your money basically since you have a stock car. You won't see any gains at all, bench racer.

ok mike9146, this is why i talked like that. i asked a simple question and 4 days later i dont have a simple answer accept for smart remarks.

And gofasttsi, what do u mean "illusion of big name items"? i like hks and i know they make good power so why do you have to discriminate on the things i wanna spend my money on?

now can someone please answer my simple question?thanx

I believe the point we were trying to make, and we weren't too subtle about it, is that you won't gain much, if anything with cams this stage of the game. Next time we'll draw pictures for you.

No, that's what you don't understand. It's not a simple question, its an impossible question to answer. No one can say "You'll get 11.5 HP out of the intake and 35.9 HP out of the cams". What these guys are trying to say is that since you're running an otherwise stock configuration, you won't get much out of cam/gears, since the rest of your system won't be optimized to take advantage of the extra lift and duration. If you really want to know how much power they all to your car, you'll have to dyno it, then install the parts and then dyno it again.

well i stated like 10 posts up that im getting springs and retainers for the lift. and im not nesicarily asking how much ill get. i just wanted to hear others results that have gottin these products. or even just a guestimate from an educated person.

Your first post:

Hrmm...

Springs and retainers are great, but their extra strength and light weight help you spin the engine faster without floating a valve. They don't effect lift, unless you're running HUGE race cams that won't work with stock springs.

i just wanted to hear others results that have gottin these products. or even just a guestimate from an educated person.
Then why didn't you ask that in the first place??

1st of all, i asked this because i figured i would get answers from people who have them. why should people even be answering this if they dont know the answers themselves?

2nd,"they dont effect lift''??why do you think theyre made for? the springs and retainers are made to take the extra lift that the new cams are throwing at them, also to avoid float. you guys say they wont do anything w/o the right suppoting mods... theyre they are.

ok back to the beginning. if anyone has these products ,let me know how they are. and if you have any hp figures or anyperformance info, please reply, thanx

oh yea and 1 more thing, GofastTsi,what exact supporting mods were you hinting at exactly? benchracer...??

Thank you. Now child, ChrisHKS, researching about stuff helps ALOT before you start buyin parts and expect monstrous gains. Just my .02..

Supporting mods are a must-have obviously. Next you're gonna get a T4 turbo, expect to slap it on and make 500 whp on those 450cc injectors too right? I'm not flaming, just trying to make a point.

Cams will do you no good now and everyone will have different gains with all the different setups available. Like others have said the cams will give you big gains but you must have the supportting mods first.
Read the tuning guide and follow it.
