For external identification what are the differences between an EVO and a regular 16G? My turbo has no stamp on it to say what it is. Mark

The flanges on the Evo 3 are as small as possible and then expand back out where the bolts holes are (to save weight)

No the EVO III are not ball bearing. they do have a more modern design. The comp wheel blades are .015" thick compared to the old design which has .030" blade thickness. The turbine housing is designed differently for quick spool.
I think the EVO VIII has ball bearings but it will not fit the Talon, eclipse cars that we on dsmtuners drive. Mark
PS: I had my EVO ex. manifold, 02 housing and turbo all ported so i hope to spool even quicker than the stock 14B.
