I know this has been covered before I searched but didnt find exactly what I was looking for so I though I would just ask!

my current mods

brobe UICP
1G bov
hallman MBC @ 15 Psi
K&N filter charger kit


future mods

3" turbo back exhaust
o2 eliminator dump
test pipe
thermal R&D
AGP or FP ?T-28
walbro ?? dont know what size I need
Do I need bigger injectors?
what do I need to make sure I run safe?

Just follow the tuning guides... Search harder and dont be so specific like " what do I need to get next...". this was covered 3 times in the last 2 days in the 2.0 performance section so search in here. Your mods you would need or should get are the same as what anyone should do before a turbo upgrade, and very similar to a 16g...
 
Here would be my suggestion:

Get your whole exhaust done before you slap on the larger turbo ... have the o2 and manifold ported to match. That's all that I would consider necessary ... this is assuming that you do have at least a boost gauge installed as well as the other mods you listed.

Other 'suggestions' would include injectors, fuel pump, upgraded IC, AFC, and short-throw shifter. Those'd just be to fine tune, but not necessary ... the 28 can use your stock oil lines and etc from the t25.
 
what are the stock injectors good to?
if I upgrade the fuel pump what can the injectors handle PSi wise with the 28?
 
I think people are running around 15psi on the stock injectors/fuel pump on a T28 or Big28 type turbo but Ill tell you if you really want to get full advantage of this turbo you really need a new pump and injectors.. I suggest Denso 190 pump and RC Eng 550s.. thats what I had when I had my Big28..
 
I have a regular T-28 and currently run stock injectors with a larger fuel pump (choose size for your future horsepower goal), adjustable fuel pressure regulator with base fuel pressure raised to 53 psi. Boost is set with MBC to 17-17.5 psi. Just did a log tonight running Sunoco 94 air intake temp 87 deg and was running third gear at 6980 rpm, 19 deg timing, 27.26 lb/min air, O2 0.96 volt. Injectors were very close to 100% near redline, haven't hit fuel cut but I'm sure it's pretty close. This is pretty much all you can do until going to larger injectors and a way to control them. Upgraded intercooling is strongly recommended beyond this point also.

car ran great.. i honestly miss my old setup as it was fun to drive and not to worrisome about if I broke.. I ran a 13.7 @ 109mph on c16 and coulda done alot better if the car had been tuned

do u regret spending all the money on the new setup larry? (nothing towards agp is intended here) just curious if these huge turbos r really worth the money, time, effort, and probability of breaking
 
I know someone that was running 18psi on the stock injectors with a big 28. He said that was all he could go though. I can't remember how much timing he was getting at 18psi but it was pretty good up until 120mph. I do recommend injectors but they are not a nessisity. You can do those later when you get some more dough. A feul pump is must though
 
I cant wait!!!!!!!! I want a bigt28 so bad, I cant remeber when do tax returns happen? I think Im going to try and save for a full 3" exhaust and then when I get my tax return Ill buy my bigt28. thanks for all the help.

do I regret it.. no.. I wish I didnt have issues from the beginnign when my oil pump went the first time causing my big28 to eat itself.. I miss the way the car ran back then.... it was dependable and really quick.. the car is straight out fast as hell to me right now.. but tuning is a nightmare and with the oil issues Ive had ive been pondering getting rid of the car on a daily basis..

really that kinda sucks its being so much of a pain the ass to you. its a badass car I wish I had your kinda cash flow:D I hope the big28 will work ok for me!
