Quick question on t3/t4 turbos

I plan on getting some type of garett turbo, still deciding, but anyway my question is about the oiling. They are oil cooled only unlike the water/oil MHI turbos. My question is that can they be oiled safely from the head like a stock turbo? I remember reading somewhere that oil pressure from the head can sometimes not be high enough with a bigger garrett turbo. I plan on a 50trim possibly. Is everyone here just oiling it off the head and having no problems? I don't want to compromise the life of the turbo or anything! Thanks!

the pte turbo's wont last with oil being fed from the head. I kno agp uses oil from the head with their garrett kits so they must be ok there. And, if your going to go with a ball bearing center housing, oil from the head is needed. Too much oil for a bb turbo will cook it.

well i'm a newb to non-mitsu turbos, what changes do you have to make to correctly oil a PTE type turbo (non BB)?

I found this PTE SCM32, would something along the lines of this be hard to modify oil lines to run this safely or other PTE SCM models? thanks guys!

get a steal braded oil feed like and run it from the oil filter housing.

I kno agp uses oil from the head with their garrett kits so they must be ok there.

We always recommend oil feed off the filter housing first with standard bearing turbos. If you have too much oil pressure because of an improperly machined engine, off the head will sometimes work fine.
