No. Why would you want to do that???
A 2g head will fit on a 1g block perfectly. A lot of the 1gina2g people do this. Dont answer unless you know what you are talking about.

The 2g head will fit on a 6-bolt block, but you have to machine the head for (larger, I believe) head studs. The 2g head has better intake velocity due to its raised port floor, creating more torque. Its also less of a hassle if your converting to 6-bolt.

You have to drill the holes out for the head studs to 12mm if you use arp head studs(which you should use). The stock head bolts will work without drilling them out. The 2g ports are smaller than the 1g. Id rather have the 1g head. But most people with a 2g already have a good 2g head, and to switch to a 1g head would require getting a head, an intake manifold, and the proper tb.

The head will bolt to the block but the cooling system which bolts to the head, and the big water pipe across the front of the block won't fit at all ... don't anser unless you know what you are talking about. I did a 1g head on a 2g block so I know what I'm talking about when it comes to this....

ok I see what you are asking now .. I was thinking you have a 1g car and you want to put a 2g head into that. In that case the cooling system would have to be redone. To put a 7 bolt head on a 6 bolt block all you have to do is drill out the holes for the headstuds and that's it.

he asked if a 2g head would fit on a 1g. You responded NO. The head fits on fine. Of course there are other things like the water pipe, CAS, intake manifold that are a little different but wouldnt present a big obstacle. In your first reply you acted like he was trying to put a 420a head on a 4g63.

As for the cooling system you generally use the water pipe that comes from the same generation as the head does(ie 2g head use a 2g water pipe).

ok yea I gotcha. The head will fit the block, but the holes need to be enlarged for the studs. You may be able to keep most of your stock cooling system too so it wouldn't be a tough swap.
