After rebuilding the engine and getting it running for 1700 miles the balance shaft bearings went. I have to get my car on the road in 30 days because of college and dont have time to order a balance shaft elim. kit. by cutting the B belt i know you gain no horsepower but would it make it so i wouldn't break another bearing? i know we should have taken them out the first time but the shop that did it said i had the wrong kit. whatever, it doesn't matter now. any help is appreciated. thanks. :dsm:

If your balance shaft bearings walked out of the block than the enigine will have to come out. Try to put a new bearing in and if it slides right through the block than the oil passage has to be welded closed inside the block or replace the block. It is possible to do this with the engine still in the car.
