'93 Awd Eprom??

i WENT THROUGH A BOX OF PARTS THAT CAME WITH MY CARAND FOUND A CHIP. IT HAS A STICKER THAT SAYS: BASE, IDLE, MID, WOT. ALSO AN INSIGNIA SHAPED LIKE A SHIELD WITH LETTERS, DIFFICULT TO READ. I THINK "PRPS"

ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS IS. WHERE IS THE ECU LOCATED ON MY'93? THANKSS, MARK-PLEASE EXCUSE THE CAPS

Its not an eprom, P87C51FA-4N is a microcontroller made by phillips semi.

The ecu in your vehicle is behind the radio.

Thanks for the identification. Does it fit a '93? Where would it go? Exactly what does it do? Any more info is appreciated. mark

goto google and type in those numbers you've listed above, you will be looking for data sheets and a description of what it is. wont take you more than 30 min to know exactly what you have. look for data sheets in PDF format

I am just about certain it's from an MAF-Translator. I have a translator not yet installed. I'll open it up to see. Thanks, Mark
