bad turbo?

i just came home after along night. i was at some races. well anyways, this weekend is the first weekend i actually took out my car since i rebuilt the head. my car has been sitting for 9 months. well heres the question, i have 14b turbo on my car. everytime i get on it, my exhaust puffs out white smoke, but it smells like oil. but after it puffs that out it doesnt smoke nomore. and when i drive normal, it doesnt do it. also, my turbo has no shaft play, but it doesnt spin easy like other turbos. when i start spooling, my turbo sounds like a airplane or sounds something like that.

if u guys need anymore info, just ask. if the turbo is bad, i guess i gotta get the evo 3 turbo

if your venting your bov that would exlpain all the white smoke but other than that i dont know i have a 14b on my car and it spins freely

Ya that is the same thing my car was doing when my turbo was on its way out. That's kinda weird that there is no shaft play though. Pull off your lower intercooler pipe and see if there is any oil in the bottom of your intercooler. If there is, its the turbo.

im not venting. yea, im pretty convinced that my turbo is goin to shit. oh well......evo3 turbo i guess.



should a evo3 turbo be good enough, or should i go bigger?


i have a a/t. i just want to build the boost at the line. any ideas?
