those who complain about the vibration need to grow a sack

its really not that bad at all, almost gives you the muscle car feel :)
a little bit of padding under a few rattling interior pieces and i will be good to go, the vibration is fine it doesnt bother me, its only there at idle and even then i dont care about it, while riding there is none

besides that tehy look badass

I got the simple $25 red inserts that just supplement the front and back mounts. I get mild vibration at idle that I hardly even notice anymore. No more wheel hop. Wow, what a difference HIGHLY recommended for any FWD.

3rded :)

It was bad at first, especially on colder days, but once its warmed up its all good. Plus its a good "lugging" warning. Keep the revs up like you should(and I mean just don't lug it) and its fine.

yea motor mounts eliminated my wheel hops, but I still get a little wheel spin in 1st and 2nd gear.......

Yeah, because i heard that when they add the red coloring, it adds like 15 pounds dude. :thumbdown

I spoke to somweone from the manufacturer months ago when i was interested in purchasing that suspension bushing kit , they explained to me the black would be be better cuase they have graphite particles in it or some Sh! t like that.

This is what I wanted to do... leave the sides stock hoping to only get part of the vibration yet eliminate that nasty, dif destroying wheel hop. Maybe I'll try this...

I got the full red motor mounts and no balance shafts.

I kinda dont like it in idle, alot of lose things start to vibrate. but other than that its great.

I am gonna try and remove them and put the stock ones back on, just the side ones. I hope it helps.

I got the full red motor mounts and no balance shafts as well. Red looks good? No. Feels good? No. Worth the effort? Yes. The reason I got them was to keep my motor a little bit more still and keep my wastegate from hitting my radiator all the time when I shift hard  . So far they are working, although the vibration sux.

Hey I don't mind the red ones, my car is red and so is my valve cover, so its kinda like an accent ;)

ditto, except my car isn't red, just the hoses and v/c. At idle I don't notice any vibration at all when I go from driving my mostly stock Mirage to my Eclipse with the prothane mounts, ES poly suspension bushings and no balance shafts. I did have my motor balanced when I took out the b-shafts, so maybe that has something to do with it

For those that whine about the vibrations, look at the bright side. When you go out on a date, the ladies love them. Buzzzzzzzzzzz

Yea, when I did my 6bolt swap , i put in Prothane's and the 1st month they vibrated like hell, but tolerable and u get used to it. After the 1st month they loosend/broke in. But I like'em ! ;)

hmm, i never considered them breaking in. I only got 1,500miles put on mine.

but they are rock hard, they dont look like they would break in. did you have all four installed or just the front/rear inserts?

Hey Im about ready to put in a built motor in my Talon and its AWD do you guys think prothane would help any or is it not worth it?

Go ahead and get em. I personally think the upper mounts are unnecessary though. They are the expensive ones and do the least. I read somewhere that the front mount makes 80% of the difference when installing prothanes. So unless your stock upper mounts are shot and need to be replaced then just spend 13 bucks and get the front and rear ones. Mine are red but only cause they were the ones in stock.
